What Is Your Favorite Khmer Food?

I miss khmer foods. I haven't had a steady stream of khmer foods for a very long time.
Every few months, I go get some beef sticks at a Khmer's place.
I miss my grandma's cooking. She raised me, feed me, and loved me.
My grandma's the only sane khmer person I met in my life. She was strong.
She's a devout Christian. I remember each night, I would hear her praying passionately.
At the time, I'd always thought, "grandma was weird, lol."
I really let my family down -- I wish I could undo a lot of things....
I wish I would have just drop the korean chick and gotten a regular 9-5.
Man I wish a lot of things...
The one things that I dont regret though is that I always stood up for what I believe in.

The good news is that even though I haven't spoken to my family in 10 years,
I know they are doing very well in life and I never worry about them.
I wish I could forgive them and go say hello but I don't think that will ever happen in my world.

My family hates me. My cousins won't even add me on fb.
Besides, my cousins are full of shit - typical two-faced posers.
A lot of misunderstands between me and my family.
I hope one day, I will be able to find some peace in this matter.

Have a good night. All this khmer foods talk gave me nostalgia.

If I'm looking at the correct image, red stuff wrap with banana leaves? It's called Amok.

Amok trey (អាម៉ុកត្រី) is probably Cambodia's most well-known dish amongst visitors; there are similar dishes found in neighboring countries. Freshwater fish fillet (commonly snakehead fish, or Mekong catfish) is covered with an aromatic kroeung (pounded shallots, lemongrass, garlic, kaffir lime), roasted crushed peanuts, coconut milk, and egg and then wrapped in banana leaves and steamed until it achieves a mousse-like texture. Unlike the Thai, Lao and Malaysian versions of the same dish, it is not intended to be spicy but rather fragrant, zesty and flavorful.

In addition, there's several ways to prep and make it, we all has our own ways of doing it.
Love it. <3+<3<3+<3

I find that that simple food is best. Grilled fish with mango dip/salsa sounds good right now.
