For My Grandma A Poem I Wrote When She Passed Away..

You were the person I wanted to impress

But no matter how hard I try I always end up in a mess

You stayed with me when I had no one

You gave me hope when I had none

You were my anchor which I always lean on

You was also my shield when I get pushed around

You were my hopes and dream

Like mom always say we was a team

When I cried you cried with me

When I'm rebellious unlike mother who always shout, you spoke gently

You told me I'd go far

No matter where I end up in life you told me we can never be apart

but there you go...leaving me here alone

who will I hug at night, who will I sing for to sleep?

When you left you took a big chunk from my heart

I don't know where to go, life suddenly seem so hard

But I will not cry because you told me not too

In my heart there will alway be fond memories of you

I will work hard like you told me too

I will get far because you wished for it to be true

Just remember gramma, there will never be another you..

Cherishing the memories we had together;

And only in memories, our moments together would last forever...

That's a well written poem, Tina. I lost one of the most important people in my life last year, and still trying to cope with this loss as of today. Just as you've stated, what's left are cherished memories and never ending love. What more can you ask right?

Losing some is hard, but cherishing their memories will keep you going. They would want you to be happy. Just like when they were alive, Thank you for taking the time to read it. I lost 3 people whom I cherish this year, and I'm handling it as best as I could. I am also trying to cope with my losses still. :/

Your poem was the best thing I've read all day, so thank you. What's more interesting is that you have a resemblance to one of her old friends. I've lost two people myself in the last year. It was an eye opening moment for me about how short life can be.

I'm glad my poem made you happy in some way. Really? alot of people say I resemble alot of people.. yea life is really short lived. so live life to the best of your ability. have enough. enough life, enough love, enough laughs. don't wish for more or less wish for enough just enough to get you by you'd be happier.

Thank you bong. Yes you are correct in saying that people will never know how we feel if they didn't go through the pain of losing someone. Sometimes I am in denial too especially when I'm singing...because me and her was always singing together.

I always felt bless by her to have such a wonderful and supporting grandmother. I hope that she is proud of me. I might not be such an amazing singer like her in her days but I glad I could make a couple people smile. thank you bong chenna you really cheered me up ^-^ I wuv you
