I believe guys with money are doing the same thing. Having all those done, just you don't notice because it's not written on their forehead.
Both men and women are not much different when it comes to beauty. If you are speaking of the majority of the world, yes.
Guys spend as much money to obtain, retrieve, or accomplish the outer beauty.
Girls does it because guys still accept them for it. If it isn't beautiful, they wouldn't bother doing it. I believe that it's all worth the extra mile since those guys still run over heel for those girls.
