What is the English equivalent for the Khmer word "dach jet"?
disowned(or unforgiveable) since ms marvelous mentioned, I will change to The End of relationship[or broke up]
paoun ami, disowned mean - Kat-Kal,
Unforgivable mean -men lerk laeng, so unforgivable heart I think that should do.
dachjet seems to mean differently when used in certain context.
For example: dach-jet tov = reluctantly go
dach jet laeng = resigned
darch jet pi kort = forsaken
so on and so forth
Closest I can think of just the word dach-jet is "resigned to"
Nice post Hamster, I've been thinking for a while lol. When I hear this word, I keep thinking of its meaning as being able to let go easily without hesitation, but in a cold way.
Great attempt by Marvelous!
