"Ben" is for 15 days. The final day is Tues Sept 23rd. However since it's on a weekday, majority Temple (Wat) postpone to Sat Sept 27 and end on Sunday 28th.

i think i will b going on the 23rd. thats what my momma told me. she just yell at me earlier i missed her bon she did yesterday at the temple. my mom goes to the temple so much these days i lost tract...

I'm not sure if the gate will close.. I need to check with the Devil hehehe... But anyway, here in my States, we postpone to the 27-28 since wkday everyone had to work. Devil should forgive us since they knew we had to work to come up with money do the bon

@Rei , u can attend anytime in the evening,. The monk will still be able to chant to the person you set for. Make sure when u give stuff to monk and during chant, in your mind call the person whom you want to give to and have them rest in peace. U can call as many as you want and if you dont know the name just say all my ancestors please come and accept this bon from me etc,,

For me , i also added... I call all ancestors, their friends who had no relative, "nang pheas (spirit house) to come and accept my offer at this moment. Whatever bon (good deed) i had including the Bon i did today, I will share with all of you so u can rest in peace and be in heaven. In return, All i ask for is to have faithful, loving family, kid walk in the right direction, and have a good job and future

u know since my sis tragedy, ive been going to the temple alot more now with my mom and cooking for the monk, nd i do really agree with u that i do feel relieved and good,,i like how the monk chant and preaches bout life and all that..it sum how enlighten me and give me a peaceful mind...
we had this one monk that came from cambodia to stay here for a bit nd he was at my sis funeral that evening, i tell u can can chant so smooth nd was just a relaxing moment. i was like wow..
