Monk had "boom-boom" with some lady who lived in the temple. From my understanding of the religion, a lady should not be living in the temple in the first place. What made headlines, is that they got caught on video and the video got distributed throughout the Cambodian community and online and now the woman in the video is suing for violation of her rights to privacy. She's hoping to gain money from her shame and embarrassment but denies sexual involvement in spite of the video tape as evidence. So basically they invented an entirely new kind of smut, amateur monk porn.

Because I hope that the Monk and the lady will be kick out from temple (wat) ... it is really shamful that people could does something like that.

I have absolutely no idea what happened with the case but I'm sure its over since this happened awhile back, at least a year ago. I"m sure she was compensated for her grief since by state law, voyeurism is still very much illegal and believe it or not, in the eyes of the court of law, she didn't commit any crimes. If anything she's guilty of, its stupidity but that is still very much legal today lolz.

Happy, she not living in the Temple. She's part of the committee. Temple had a committee, President, VP, etc. She's part of those group. Rumor I also heard was even the head of the monk don't dare to force her out of the committee until this porn leak out.
Such a bad vibe for our religion when these stuffs happened but then think on the bright side. Not all eggs in a basket are rodent. So don't let these stuffs discrete you from going to Temple and believing/worshiping/respecting other monk(s). Look at other religion, some Priests even molest kid and the people still go to their Church and respect other Priests. Whereas some Khmer people are bunch of sux'er who disrespect "all" monks just cuz of one monk did sinful thing. I knew a lot of people like that and majority of those people hardly step their foot in the Temple's ground but then start saying shit about the monks.

At least the woman wasn't under aged (or a child)--I'd be more horrified if that was the case. Nowadays, it feels like the temple (the small community temple) is no longer a sacred place, people don't go there to worship anymore. When people go because of a celebration, it's usually to brag about their wealth.

It's always the one bad egg that screws it over for everybody, eh?
Unfortunately the head monk decided to keep her, and now it seems like his temple had lost most if not all supports from the community.
If I have my way, I would run my own temple and get rid of all these money hungry committees. I know it's tough because of the tight knit community we are in. But I'm just bothered seeing millions of dollars being donated over the decade and all we have in town are a bunch of eye sore looking building for our temples.
