Espresso Machines

I'm getting into making my own espresso drinks at home. Got me a cheap Mr. Coffee espresso maker but since its steam powered and not pump powered, it only makes very strong coffee. The shots doesn't have the creme da la creme. The taste does come very close to Starbuck's. I am looking into purchasing an expensive espresso maker at Macy's, $200-600 range. Is anyone here knowledgeable with espresso machines that can give me a recommendation, if not, I'll just gonna research it for the a week or two before I head out to Macy's. I'm trying to save the 2500 a year i spend on my grandes caramel macchiatos and vanilla lattes.

Sorry bro, a tea drinker here. If you ever want to know what tea kettle/strainer to use, just ask :D
I also got my tea tray set from Macy's. It works great.

Just got back from Macy's and just brewed my first real cup of espresso. Taste just like Starbucks too.

After much thought and research I decided on a Krups Espresso Maker. It costed about 200.00 bucks and its amazing, I'd say. It put my $40 fake espresso machine by Mr. Coffee to shame lolz. Don't ever buy a cheap espresso machine, I just blown 40 dollars for nothing.

I wanted to do a "un-boxing" like people do on youtube but I'm too tired man. I know a lil bit about espresso drinks now, so those in the same boat as me earlier, you can ask me for help. Don't buy a cheap espresso machine, you'll be sorry.

Tea sounds very good also. I haven't had a delicious cup of tea in years. Any recommendations on what brand of tea to get? I know nothing about tea, come to think of it. Is the brewing process important? I just brew mines with boiling water.

When I traveled to Portland I visited a real authentic chinese garden. It was amazing, felt like I traveled to china. There was a tea house there, built to look like the real ancient thing. I feel like I was in a wuxia series. Never in my life had I tasted tea so delicious.

You can always return your cheap machine and get your money back. For tea, I use boiling water also. It depends on what kind of tea you like. I like my tea strong so I brew it longer than the usual recommended time. For green tea, I like loose leafs over tea bags. My favorite tea is lemongrass tea. Use fresh lemongrass if possible but don't drink too much of it, too much can lower your blood pressure rate to an unsafe level.

Never figured you to be a tea connoisseur. Thanks for the info, buddy. As for the cheap one, I can't returned it. I threw away the box cause I was pissed that it came with a broken cantur, and the walmart I got it from was more than an hour away.

Not exactly a tea house but a tea merchant.
You would love it bro, here a link to the garden I mentioned in the earlier post:

I should go again if I wasn't so damn busy, I drove the 6 hours to get there lolz. I sat upstairs and ordered tea and snacks when I got tired from exploring other parts of the garden. Very accurate, everything down to every detail, again, I felt like I was in a wuxia! I should have dressed in costume lolz.

That garden looks so serene. A cup of tea and lotus seed moon cake, ah. It's in Oregon. Isn't Rock from Oregon? Wonder if he's been there.

Its in downtown portland and its a major attraction. Their mall is amazing too, the one in the heart of downtown at least. The cheap one sucks. I'm sure he knows of it. When I get my face fix, I'll be more outgoing, maybe drive to SoCal one day.
