Anyone here has a Windows phone? Looks like I'll be jumping out of the iPhone after my contract is over to maybe a Nokia Lumia 920 or 1020. Just wanna try something new other than iOS and Android phones.

I have AT&T android prepaid cause I'm 32 years old and I don't care about being cool and having the latest phone every 3 months. I pay 20 dollars per month to use it. It's lame but hey, it beat those suckers paying 120 per month for their Iphone 4. To me, it's just too much to be paying for a phone in this economy no matter what income bracket you are in. 120 a month can feed a single family for a week or two. 120 can put a lot of petro in your gas tank. You should try out prepaid, Rei, but I guess it might be social kill if you have lots of friends and go out all the time. People like that can't be seen with a prepaid phone, they'll think you weird or super broke or something lol, also, no one will date you. I hate cell phone bills! I hate car notes too! like if you hate bills! :D

This is totally random but I am a medical marijuana card holder! Yesssir!

I see what you're saying Happy and there's nothing wrong with that. If people are judging you for using a pre-paid phone, they're the one with issues. For me it's more of a strong preference -- texting is almost mandatory for me, especially at work. There are many useful features that are hard to go without. I'm actually quite anti-social and have less than three friends lol.

I have seen some Khmer elders here at the morning cafe flashing their iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4 toys to each other making me very outdated. :bag:

I just have a basic phone. I don't use my cell phone that much to justify spending hundreds on a smartphone and an additional 30 dollars on service. I don't look up or down on people based on the type of phone they own.

Personally I just use a phone to make calls and text. I use about average 10-15 minutes and 200-300 texts a month. I have the Samsung Galaxy S3, only because my wife works for T-Mobile and I got the phone for free. :) If it wasn't for that I wouldn't even have a smart phone. Everything a smart phone does a PC can do.

Back in the day where beeper and etc, i was actually smarter than my phone. I can remember all my friends numbers. But now cuz of smartphone, i can't even remember my wife number lol.. the phone is actually smarter than me.

Anyway, Rei: My bro had an HTC windows phone and he did like like. I guess he can't watch flash video. lol

Rock: you're lucky with my free phone lol.. I had to flirt with this sale rep chick to get a corp 15% discount on my bill lol

That's a sweet deal and same for other medical-affiliated companies, they usually have good business to business deals such as discounts on phones, other consumer electronics. For example, I can get 10-20% off Alienware computers through Dell's business account.

Also, I can get an AT&T prepaid phone from Walmart :) for 100 big ones :D which is a great deal and I pay 10 dollars every few weeks or so. The money I save using prepaid, I use for video games and coffee or to my comcast bill. With that money, I can also buy Khmer food from Queen's Deli located in West Seattle (the hood) because I cannot cook the kind of khmer food my momma be making. I actually save 1200 usd a year going with prepaid and you guys can too. That money can go towards your kitchen remodel or that new clutch you been wanting to buy for your car :) My basic budgeting principles is to allocate available funds towards the most important expenses to the least important...but anyways, I miss the old days when a phone is simply used to make a call but now we pay so much for it to also act like a computer. I can see 10 years from now, a phone will also have advance weapons capabilities just in case you get mugged in the street or electrodes to defibrillator heart, maybe a bomb sniffer? who knows....

Am I the only one who uses a cell phone to just make a call? I don't do anything else with it. So what do you guys do with your smart phones? I be interested hearing your stories.

You don't text? I call and text. That's about it. If the person has a quick question and needs a quick answer from me, then text me. Otherwise call me. I don't like long text messages.

Yeah I text; costs me 20 cents per text or 9.99 for 1000 text messages to use by the end of the month. Honestly, I use to be glued to my cell phone for all things social but over the years, I realized the amt cell companies charges for convenience is quite a bank breaking affair, especially if you go over your minutes. I had to pay close to $1,000 quite a few times. I guess that's why I hate contracts. I pay 20 x 12 = 240.oo per year. Imagine difference to 120 x 12 = 1440! Also, impossible to go over minutes :D

do you know that you could get a phone card call Straight Talk Unlimited for $45 and put on any smart phone out there with a Straight Talk chip....
The chip cost about $50 pay only one time, then pay only $45 every month for a Straight Talk Unlimited call, text, and internet use....Save you a lot off money

that's a good deal too...I only talk about 60 minutes a month so I really am going low as possible :D yeah I'm a cheap person. If Meimei or theary give me their number, i might talk longer...but that's good to know, I have no idea about this straight talk chip since probadly I never watch tv since 2003. I don't have cable and I never watch tv. Am I the only one here that don't watch any tV? I'm more internet-friendly...god i watch a lot of porn though. If you buy your grocery at outlets and wholesale, you save a ton of money too. Also I buy used books rather than new. For clothes, I don't care for it like my sister. She's spends hundreds a week on clothes, not to mention more on purses. Me, I been wearing the same pant and shirt for 2 years hahahhahah...that's thifty my friend....just thrifty.. but yeah, thrift away dude...thrift away...I want to be the Khmer Warren Buffet. khmerbross will you be apart of our dubbing crew? We are planning to dub videos. Also, I never spend money on haircuts. I cut my own hair. damn I'm cheap. oh yeah, when I don't finish my starbucks, i fridge it for the next day. yeah baby...:D lastly, I never rent chinese movies anymore, since I watch free here and there...LMAO also I furnish my brand new apartment with half the things I get FREE from craigslist hahah...yup..

Happy, my brother, you gotta rent Chinese series/movies or whatever once in while to keep our Khmer video stores in business. Heh. Hey, I don't watch TV either. I use my TV to watch my dvds or to sing Khmer karaoke once in a while. I wear the same things for years as well, and so far they're in good condition. I thought that clothes would be cheaper at the outlet but they're not. We have a lot in common, except the porn thing. Haha. Since you're so cheap (and I don't mean that in a bad way), what do you do on dates?

gosh, I like to showers my dates to get them in the sack quicker....so I cannot say I'm cheap with date...last girl I date, I spent 2 grand on a laptop for her and she slept with me soon after that...:D also I like to take them to 3-4 star restaurant and 4-5 star hotel, so I dont know bro...I'm only cheap when it's good for you and you can get away with it. but when not good for you, go high class bro..especially in the beginning when you're wooing them, but my mind is always business pretty much...everything is about cost effectiveness vs quality. I don't go cheap on my electronics but I go real cheap on clothes since I don't socialize much. I go cheap on grocery simply because you can get high quality foods for less. I don't go cheap on automobiles either but I go cheap on tools though lol...depends on how cheap you can go before cheap bites you in the ass ya digg? The general rule for me is this: you go for the best in life but you bargain your ass off for it hehe....

I tried the Iphone, Samsung, Nokia, Sony, and several other phones throughout my life span. Currently using the Iphone because it has the classy looks that I liked. Samsung is a little too big for me, and phone cases for the Iphone beats the Samsung to me. There are things in life that I do bargain or is cheap on, but I do admit on spending big on electronic, clothes, bags, and anything that looks nice to me. :D

I love the Samsung Galaxy and Sony Xperia Z. The Iphone 4 is a beast! but damn does everybody have to jump on the bandwagon? I swear....there are more options out there.
